Updates soon... I promise

For those that regularly check out this blog, I apologise to you for the lapse in my updating of late. Things have been extremely busy around here for the past couple of weeks. We took 3 cows to the local show and this has meant getting them washed and led around most days in the lead up. I also put in a few scrapbooking items as well. The cows did ok (a 2nd and 3rd) and the scrapbooking did well (1st and 2nd in the album section and 1st and 2nd in the double LO section).

Tomorrow I am taking my husband to Melbourne to have an operation on his back. I will be back and forwards between Melbourne and the farm for the next week, but I will endevour to get some time to update things on here. I also have to get my monthly newsletter out as well sometime this week....phew, time is getting away!!

So keep your eyes on this site. I WILL update soon.

The rush to Christmas

It seems like I have not stopped in the past few weeks and to be honest, it is not going to get much better.

Last weekend, I attended the Melbourne SU! regionals at Crown. It was a day event and attended by a heap of demos. We were given a new stamp set and wheel which will be in an upcoming mini catty (so, shhh, can't tell you about them yet!), and were treated to a number of demonstrations. A couple of them in particular I will be incorporating into my Christmas favours class which is running on SUNDAY November 22nd at 12pm (note the earlier start time and different day).

I have not forgotten that I said I would post pictures of my scrapbooking pages that I used for part of the display at Craft Expo. I will post these this week.

Thankyou to the ladies that attended my Christmas card class yesterday - sending out well wishes to a customer who had to pull out because of an unplanned hospital visit (hope you are feeling better Michelle).

I have a few workshops and classes booked in for the rest of the month and then I am busy with a whole different activity....showing cows! Yes, we show cows at the Colac and Noorat shows, which takes up a lot of time (in getting cows prepared) but is heaps of fun. At the moment, 2 cows are behaving themselves beautifully and allowing us to halter and lead them around....the 3rd one, not so much. Sigh.

However, right at this moment, I am dealing with a very sick child (Biddy, who has not been able to keep anything down for about 15 hours now and has gone through just about every shred of cot linen we own). So, I'd best get back to her and I'll be back to post pics and more info later on.

A note about Christmas orders

It seems so early to be talking about Christmas, but in reality it is not that far away. Especially if you take into consideration postal times to get things to their destination.

Given that SU! receives a lot of orders close to Christmas (just like any business) I would suggest that if you want to order any of the products and ensure that you have them in plenty of time for the 25th December, that you start thinking about your orders now and place by the end of November. As can happen, various products may get placed on backorder because they are popular for gifts. This may affect the delivery date to you. The earlier you place your order, the more likely you won't get caught up in postal delivery issues, back order problems or anything else.

I know that at this time of year, people are starting to ask me what my husband wants for Christmas, what the kids want/need, and also what is on my Christmas list. Hubby is a nightmare to buy for, the kids are generally not too bad, but I am VERY easy. Why? Because I simply fill out one of my 'wish lists' and direct the buyer to that.

The wish list is not your purchase list. It is a list of want you want to have if:
a) you had the money,
b) someone wanted to buy you something, or
c) something you are going to work towards getting as maybe a freebie (such as part of a hostess gift).

The wish list if great for family members as well. All the information is there for them. All they need to do is pick up the phone. give me a ring and and simply read out what is on the list. Because you have written down the product, the item code and the cost, there is no confusion! Just fill it out and stick it on your fridge or noticeboard.

Email me for your Christmas Wish list today.

Specials galore!

What a month October is proving to be as far as specials from Stampin' Up!

SU! have announced 2 specials; one in particular is a cause dear to the hearts of many....breast cancer awareness and fundraising.

For anyone that has been toying with the idea of possibly joining the SU! team, now is a great time. Because as the ad says, for each new SU! demonstrator to sign up between Oct 1 and Dec 31, SU! will donate $5 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. PLUS, as an added incentive to the demonstrator, you will receive for free a 'Pretty in Pink' stamp pad and a pack of 'Raspberry Tart DSP' on top of your starter kit.

Give me a call if you would like to discuss the options of becoming a demonstrator. There is no obligation and I am happy to send out some info for you to read through before making any decision.

The second special to be announced this month is related to 'World Cardmaking Day'.

When you purchase either the 'Rock Star' or 'Flower Power' Simply Sent® Card Element kits (pgs 140 & 141 IB&C), you are able to purchase the co-ordinating stamp set ('Wow Flowers' or 'Starring You') at 20% off! That's right, cheaper stamps! And if you prefer, you can swap the stamp set with the card element kit (eg. 'Rock Star Card Elements' and the 'Wow Flowers' stamp set)

This offer is only available for the month of October, so get in quick to take advantage of this great offer. These kits are a wonderful way of producing beautiful cards in only minutes as you have co-ordinating paper, cardstock, adhesive diecuts and stamps all at your fingertips. No more wondering what goes with what!

Give me a call to purchase this today!

Back on deck

Just letting you all know that we arrived home this afternoon and I am back on deck as of tomorrow. For those that have been following our escapades via our farm blog, thankyou and I hope you have enjoyed reading along. I still have the past couple of days to update plus a post with some of the photos.

In regards to Graceful Impression business, I will be putting out the October newsletter in the next couple of days. I have a constant month coming up which includes Craft Expo (next Friday), 3 workshops and attending the Melbourne regionals (demonstrators training). However, I am always available to take and place orders for any of you; simply email through you list along with a note of how you will pay (direct deposit, Visa or Mastercard etc) and I will organise to get your products shipped directly to you. Or alternatively, give me a call.

On the subject of giving me a call, my mobile number is still being diverted to Mark's phone (so when you ring my number, you will get him or his message bank), however, now I am home, I am going into our local Telstra dealer this week to get a replacement. Sigh.......

Update

I have been in contact with Telstra and for the time being, my mobile number is diverting to my husband's mobile. Please don't think you are bothering him by ringing me and getting him instead....you have no idea that amount of phone calls he gets each day...the amount of mine coming through his phone don't even register!!! So don't be shy about speaking to Mark - if you need to speak to me, give him a ring.

As it so happens, we are on holidays with the kids at the moment, so we are together pretty much 24/7. We are currently into day 3 of a 14 day holiday with 2 adults, 2 kids, a brand spanking new caravan and about 2,500km of road in front of us! LOL. Seriously, we are doing quite well and the kids have been quite good - notwithstanding the fact that Tom has absolutely no volume control and can be heard clear across the caravan parks! We are on our way to Dubbo and Warrumbungle National Park visiting places and people along the way. I am writing up a travel diary on our farm blog so if you want to follow it click here.

Suffice to say, I have internet access, so if there are any orders that anyone needs placed, I can do them whilst away!

Phone trouble

An announcement to let you all know that I have lost my mobile. Very sad :( . I loved my mobile. With a class tomorrow and a couple of weeks away coming up, the timing couldn't be worse. So I want to let you know that if you are trying to call me on mobile, I will be out of contact until I can arrange with Telstra to forward my calls to another phone.

As background, I left it in a hire car in Sydney at about 6pm last night and despite being on the phone to the hire company at 8am this morning, the phone has now vanished from the car. The thing is, the phone is of absolutely no use to anyone. Telstra has put a block on it, which means that not only is the sim card that is in the phone inactivated, but the entire handset is also inactivated and any other sim card from any other company (3, Vodaphone etc) also won't work. Plus, I also had a security code on the phone, so if you turned it on, you needed the code to even start things rolling.

Sigh.....I just know that my little treasure is going to end up in landfill somewhere years before its time.

I'll post when things have been sorted out for me to take mobile calls, but for the moment, if you need to contact me, please email me, or ring 0417 502 400 (this is my hubby's mobile - Mark - and he will pass on messages to me promptly).
