Fancy a FREE afternoon out?

On August the 1st, the new spring mini catalogue will be 'live' and you will be able to view some of the beautiful new products and stamp sets that Stampin' Up! has to offer. I have already gotten my hands on a number of the items and let me tell you, they are truly lovely. It was all I could do to stop myself from purchasing the entire catty!! This catalogue will run from 1st August through to 31st November.

And to kick it all off, I am hosting a mini catalogue launch!

When: Sunday 16th August, 2009

Time: 1 - 4pm, with demonstrations at 1.30pm, 2.15pm and 3pm

Where: the old convent complex, 1 Fireman St Colac (Fireman St is the continuation of Corangamite St up the lake end...look for the balloons and follow the signs)

What: I will be showcasing a variety of new stamp sets, designer series papers and embellishments on the day. There will be samples made up for you to view, and there will also be the opportunity for you to make a project with the new products! The mini catalogue will be available on the day free of charge.

Cost: FREE!

There will be light refreshments on offer throughout the afternoon. No need to RSVP (but feel free to do so...it will help me with catering!)

Any orders placed on the day will get a 10% discount!

I look forward to seeing you there, but if you are unable to come along and would like a free catalogue, please email me (sam.simpson@bigpond.com) and I'll get one in the post to you ASAP.

Excuse my absence...

I just want to quickly let you know that I haven't forgotten about updating the blog - and yes, I know that it has been a couple of weeks since I have been in here - but I have good reason.

As many of you already are aware, Stampin' Up! is about to release the new spring Mini Catalogue on August the 1st. As a demonstrator, I get a look at all the goodies before this release date with the opportunity to get my hands on the products as well. And I have! Hence one of the reasons why I have been MIA. I have been coming up with various designs and cards and OTP projects using the new stamps and other products. Trust me, you will LOVE them!!

I am organising a mini catalogue launch (SUNDAY 16th AUGUST, 1 - 4pm ....pop that one in your diaries NOW) so there has been a bit of work behind the scenes getting that organised. I will post more details on the launch in the next day or two, along with a picture or two of some of the projects I have been working on! So stay tuned for that!

I have also been busy running classes this month and a couple of workshops, which have been all nicely attended.

Unfortunately, our household has not escaped the lurgy bug that has been doing the rounds, and both myself and Bridie have been unwell at various times. I think we are giving the bug back and forth between us now! However, I did want to let you know that I have not abandoned you, and will be back in the next couple of days with some super exciting stuff!!

To any of the participants that have booked into my class for THIS SATURDAY, or for any that are still deciding on whether to come, the venue has been changed.

Previously advertised as being run out of the Neighbourhood House, the class will now be held at our farm, so please contact me ASAP and I'll give you directions. As always, you can phone my mobile on 0419 373 115. If I don't answer, please leave a message and return number and I will get back to you.

Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!

Full view

OK fellow cardmakers and stampers. The sneak peek alone wasn't doing it for you? Well here is a full view of the 2nd set of cards utilising the 'Bella Rose' Design Paper, 'Carousel Notes' and the 'Simply Said' stamp set.

The full version of the Fresh Cuts cards are equally lovely!

With just over a week out from my next class, I have a number of spaces still vacant. Please note that I can't run a workshop for less than 6 participants. If you would like to join us, please contact me to put your name down.

The Stamp-a-Stack class is going to make 3 cards using the 'Fresh Cuts' stamp set (pg 72 of the Ideas Book & Catalogue) along with cardstock in Sage Shadow, Choc Chip, Pink Pirouette & Kraft. The other 3 cards will be utilising the 'Bella Rose' design paper (pg 134), the 'Simply Said' stamp set (pg 51), the Carousel Notes (pg 131) and cardstocks in Kiwi Kiss, Choc Chip, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla.

For between $2.50 and $3 per card, this class is excellent value and will put you in good stead for those surprise occasions where you are left needing a card in a hurry.

Stamp-a-stack class open for bookings

Do you sometimes find yourself in quick need of a card? Does the price of cards in the shops drive you to distraction? If you answered 'yes', then I have something for you.

A Stamp-a-Stack is literally where you will stamp a stack of cards. In this class, you will make 6 cards in 2 different designs using 2 different stamp sets. I will bring along a range of sentiment stamps, so you can make them for whatever occasion you wish.

This sneak peek shows you one of the designs you will make, using the 'Fresh Cuts' stamp set (which is a bit of a favourite of mine at the moment!). The other design will incorporate the beautiful 'Bella Rose' design paper.

Date: Saturday July 18th 2009

Location: Colac Neighbourhood House, Miller St Colac

Time: 1.30pm start - wind up around 4pm

Cost: $15/person if you bring your own adhesive (double sided tape and foam dimensional tape), or $20/person if you use mine. There will also be bundles of 6 cards for $2 for purchase on the day if you want these for your cards.

The cost covers the kit that you will get on the day (cardstock, ribbon, brads etc), use of my stamps and inks, light refreshments and room hire. Oh, and you get my expert help throughout the session too!!

Bookings are essential and numbers are limited to 8. Don't leave it too late to book in - my classes have been popular and you don't want to miss out. Email or ring me TODAY to reserve your place. I'd love to see you at this class!
