Are you ready??

The new Autumn/Winter catalogue comes out on April 1st and I can promise you that there are some absolutely DIVINE things in there! All of my past customers will automatically receive a catty in the mail (good on mum...she is posting them out while I'm away!), but if you haven't purchased SU! products off me previously, and would like your very own FREE copy, simply email me at sam.simpson@bigpond.com and I'll get one in the post ASAP. Also, for anyone that receives a catty in the next couple of days, if you would like any extras to give out to family or friends, drop me a line.

As you will shortly see, there are some wonderful new products in the catalogue. If you would like to book an in-home workshop and have me demonstrate some of these products, please contact me via email and book your date. I have a number of workshops already booked up, so make sure you get in fast to secure your desired date and time. Also, remember, I am not back home until at least the 19th April, so any workshop bookings will be after this date.

For those that are interested, I have posted a rather long blog entry with pictures on our farm blog (www.craiglands.blogspot.com) that covers the first 10 days of our trip so far!

Away on holidays

Just to let you know that I will be away on holidays for 4 weeks starting today (well, I am typing this at 1am!!!).

I will be returning on April 18th and raring to go with goodies from the new Autumn/Winter Mini catalogue which is due for release on April 1st. If you are a past customer of mine, you will automatically receive one of these cattys in the mail. If you are not a past customer, then drop me an email and I'll get one in the post as soon as I return!!

I have seen this catty and believe me, there are some GORGEOUS things in there!!!!

For the meantime, I will try and get back on here an update over the next 4 weeks, but please excuse any huge absences!

Last chance!

My self imposed deadline for accepting orders for the Summer Mini catalogue and also any SAB eligible stamp sets ends TONIGHT (Wednesday 17th).

Please remember, payment must also be made at the same time (either Visa, Mastercard or direct deposit). If you choose direct deposit, please do it tonight so it is in my account tomorrow, otherwise I cannot submit your order :( Hence, Visa or Mastercard is the best method for this time round.

I also take this opportunity to thank all of my customers who have submitted orders over the Sale-a-bration period. I have sold over $2,500 worth of product in just two months......further evidence that crafting is really taking off in this area. I know that some demonstrators have blown me out of the water in comparison to my total, however, when you consider that this amount has largely come from 3 workshops and a few individual orders, it is quite impressive.

So I hope all you ladies that ordered product over the past 8 weeks or so thoroughly enjoy it and get creating some wonderful projects that hopefully you'll share!

Stamp club challenge

The stamp club I organised is now underway with the first order done and in the midst of being processed. These ladies will be playing with new stuff before the end of the week!!

I also set a challenge for this group for the month of March. I used a sketch from "Mojo Monday" which looked like this:
My take on this sketch came out looking like this:

Fleur is the first one to complete the challenge not just once, but TWICE! Nice one! And these are her takes on the sketch:

I look forward to seeing what some of the other ladies come up with!

2nd last reminder!

This is my 2nd last reminder to anyone that wishes to put in an order containing anything from the Summer Mini catalogue (which ends on 31st March), that you need to get your orders to me by AT LEAST Wednesday 17th March (that's THIS Wednesday!). The family and I are leaving for Darwin on Friday 19th and will be pushing off at about 7am. I'm sure you can image the frenetic activity that will be happening here on Thursday!!!!

So please, do not miss out on ordering something you really want. The goods will be shipped directly to you from the SU! warehouse, so rest assured that even though I will be away, you will not be waiting for your goods to arrive. You'll be happily stamping and creating long before I get back!!

Plus, remember that any orders over $100 earn you a FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set (this special also runs out at the end of the month).

One Sheet Wonder (OSW) class

Just to let you know that the One Sheet Wonder class that I have advertised below is NOW FULL. Thanks to those that have booked in and I look forward to seeing you all next Tuesday night.

If you missed out, you may be interested in the class by mail version listed in the post below. If, however, you would still like to do this class with me, please get in contact and we can see about what we can do to get an "out of sessions" or private class going. I would need a minimum of 6 to do this, and I am happy to do it at your house.

Class by Mail & Product Bundle

For those of you that are keen on the class posted below, but can't get to the actual event, this may interest you.

I am offering the One Sheet Wonder class as a 'Class by Mail' alternative. I am also packaging a product bundle together which includes the products, tools and stamps that I used, meaning you can re-create this class exactly as I have done it, in the comfort of your own home.

Read on for the various options, taking note of the FREE stamp set you can earn from option 2.

Simple class kit (does not include stamp, ink etc).
This simple kit contains the consumables needed to do the project:
  • 2x sheets A4 So Saffron cardstock
  • 2x sheets A4 Elegant Eggplant cardstock
  • 1 x A4 Confetti White cardstock
  • 54cm Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon
  • 3 gold brads
  • 1 rhinestone brad
  • cutting and assembly instructions
  • postage included
All for only $15! (payable by cash or direct deposit only)

If you select option 1, you will need to supply:
  • Adhesive
  • Flower stamp set (I used Heartfelt Thanks)
  • Sentiment stamp set (I used Vintage Labels and Whimsical Words - both SAB sets)
  • 2 x coloured inks (I used So Saffron and Mellow Moss)
  • 1 x Versamark ink or a darker ink such as Elegant Eggplant
I used the following punches, but these are optional. You can complete project without them:
  • Scallop border punch
  • Circle punches (1 1/4" & 1 3/8")
  • Word Window punch

Heartfelt Thanks Product Bundle (note, that this option DOES NOT include the cardstock in option 1 above)
  • Heartfelt Thanks stamp set
  • So Saffron ink
  • Mellow Moss ink
  • Elegant Eggplant ink
  • Scallop border punch
  • FREE cutting and assembly instructions (emailed)
  • FREE postage
All this for just $125.75! (payable by Mastercard, Visa, cash or direct deposit)
Add on Option 1 and you will have the entire class kit which will enable you to start re-creating these cards straight away just like I have done them!

If you order Option 2 only, you will need to provide:
  • 5 x sheets A4 cardstock (3 different colours)
  • embellishments of choice
PLUS, if you order Option 2 before March 19th, you will earn a FREE SAB STAMP SET (I used Whimsical Words and Vintage labels on my cards....but you can select one of the other 2 free stamp sets if you like. Your choice!)

Give me a call or email me to place your order before MARCH 19th.

One Sheet Wonder (OSW) class

How would you like to make 4 cards and a post-it note holder just by using a few sheets of cardstock?

Well come along to my next class to learn how!

The name "One Sheet Wonder" actually refers to the cardstock that you use to stamp your images on. From this one sheet (either A4 or 12x12) you can create numerous cards. In this class, you will stamp your own patterned paper and then using a cutting chart provided by me, make the cards.

This is a great way to match your cards or to create a heap of cards all at once ready to give out. Because all the cards are configured differently, if you package them up, they make an excellent gift!

Date: Tuesday March 16th

Time: 7.30pm

Where: old convent complex, 1 Fireman St, Colac (contact me if you need directions)

Cost: $20/hd (includes supplies and light refreshments)

RSVP to me by Friday 12th March in order for me to have enough supplies on hand. Bookings are essential and numbers are limited.

Please note: this class REPLACES the usual Saturday class held during the month (would have been held on Sat 21st March). This is because I am taking 4 weeks holiday with my family travelling to Darwin. April's class will be held a week later than usual (Sat 24th instead of the 17th) but will be on a Saturday afternoon as usual. Normal classes will resume from May.

Like the look of this class, but live too far to come along?

Keep an eye on this site. Over the next day or so, I will be posting a "Class by Mail" option which also incorporates a product bundle for additional purchase as well. This product bundle will also earn you a FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set!

Some changes coming!

I'm a little bit excited to announce that I have a new look coming! Must be due to me turning 40 last week, but I felt the need for a bit of an overhaul. Plus, I really want to take this business to the next level, and as such I am embarking on some major advertising (albeit, dabbling my toes in the water......major advertising is expensive!!)

So keep an eye out for my new look coming late April this year.

And just because this post has NOTHING to do with stamping, I thought I would post a couple of pics of my recent 40th birthday bash held over the weekend. The theme was tropical island/paradise (based on a trip that hubby Mark and I took to the Cook Islands for our honeymoon 8 years ago). Although the weather was freezing that night, guests still got into the swing of things and simply put jeans and pants under their hula skirts!

One month to go

Sigh....we've seen the last of summer. Already the weather is starting to turn cooler and the days are getting shorter. I enjoy summer and am always sad to see it go. BUT, what it does mean is that autumn and winter are on the way and I think that these months are a lot more conducive to paper crafting. After all, it is much nicer to spend some time indoors whipping up cards or layouts that to be out freezing your whatsits off!

With the end of summer, I want to remind you all that the summer mini catalogue is now into its last month. On the 31st of March, it all goes, so if there is something in there that you are toying over getting, please don't! Give me your order today to make sure that you receive your goods before they are gone for good.

Some of the highlights for me out of this catalogue are:
  • Something Sweet stamp set
  • Wagon Full of Fun stamp set
  • Butterfly Prints stamp set
  • Butterfly punch (note: this punch also matches the butterflies from the "Flight of the Butterfly" stamp set in the main catalogue)
  • The Red Polka Dot and Pink Pirouette Ribbon (both divine!)
  • Tall Tales designer series paper
As always seems to happen, there are customers that leave it too long to order and then end up regretting that they didn't do something about it earlier. I have one customer who is still kicking herself that she didn't order the "Great Friends" stamp set from the Spring Mini.

Don't let this happen to you!

I also want to remind my customers that I will be away for a month from the 18th March through to the 19th April. It will be difficult for me to place orders for you during this time, so PLEASE make sure you get any mini catty orders to me before the 18th. I will be travelling to Darwin with my kids and hubby in our caravan and whilst I will have some internet access, it is not always going to be reliable. I would hate for you to miss out.
