Here it is ladies (and gents..if any!). The LAST DAY that you can order from the 2009-10 Ideas Book and Catalogue and the Autumn/Winter mini catalgoue.

If there is something that you are desperate to get, or even just humming and haaing over, then I suggest that you bite the bullet and shoot me an email NOW to secure your order. Once tomorrow is here, you will NO LONGER be able to get products on the Last Chance list, including the retiring colours.

Trust me, someone always decides that they really wanted a stamp set or a ribbon spool after the time frame is up. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!

Just yesterday, there was a demonstrator on our internal website asking if anyone had the stamp set "For the Bride" available that they were willing to swap (or sell after tomorrow) as they had a client that wanted it. This stamp set has sold out, and now the client has decided she really did want it. It might be too late.

So, if you want something...ANYTHING...out of the two catalogues mentioned, then get in touch with me ASAP. I will be only taking orders until 9pm tonight and these orders will have to be paid for by credit card (visa or m/card).

For everyone that has finalised their orders, I trust that you nabbed yourself a great bargain or two for the Last Chance and are looking forward to moving ahead with the new IB&C. I know I am.

So, farewell 2009-10 catalogue. It's been great to have you for the past 18 months or so. I have gone through 2 catalogues in this time - both extremely well thumbed through by not only myself, but clients as well. I did put a 'good' copy away for myself to have spiral bound as a reference book to copy samples out of at some point down the track. So remember, don't throw your copy away now it is out of date. It is an IDEAS BOOK as well, so you should keep it as reference material to help you when you have lost your creativity mojo!

The FINAL 2 days!

For anyone who has not finalised their orders from the 2009-10 catalogue, you only have today and tomorrow to do it! After that, anything that is on the Last Chance list will be GONE. FOREVER.

I am accepting orders up until 9pm tomorrow night (Tuesday), but only by credit card payments.

This is going to be a very exciting and busy week for us as we launch the new catalogue. I trust that you will all as be as excited as I am about it - it feels like we have been waiting an eternity for new stuff!

If you want to earn FREE new stuff, including stamps sets that are only available to hostesses, then give me a call to book a workshop. I am going to be running a special for hostesses for September and October, so keep an eye on this blog this week and my newsletter coming out for the announcement (for the hostesses that have already booked with me in Sept and Oct, you will also get the offer).

Scrapbook sneak peek

This scrapbook page (6x6") is of my daughter who is besotted with horses. If you want, you can check out our farm blog (www.craiglands.blogspot.com) for a bit of a write up on it!

This page uses the Greenhouse Gala DSP - actually the reverse side of the pattern used in the card posted yesterday! I don't own any small alpha stamps and the chipboard ones I have are too big for this page, so I have used some non SU! alpha stickers. So don't look for these in the new catty!

I also used a sticky cut (heart) on the page (retiring product) and covered it with supernova glitter. Ideally, I would have liked to use red glitter on this, but....we'll have to see what's in the new catty won't we! (hint hint!).

Materials used:
Stamps - none
Cardstock - Confetti Cream, Real Red
DSP - Greenhouse Gala (NEW!)
Other - Sticky cut heart, orange supernova glitter, Chocolate Chip marker, Scallop edge punch,
Non SU! products - Carolee's Creations alpha stickers

Going Green.

I didn't intentionally start out to make this card so green.....it just evolved! But I like it. A few years ago, I purchased some of the in-colours that included Wild Wasabi. I can tell you that many people were very sad when that one left us. But be sad no longer, because it is BACK! Wild Wasabi is one of the new core colours coming our way on September 1st. As I may have mentioned previously, us demonstrators have not been able to get our hands on the new colours as of yet, but of course some of us still have left over supplies of old in-colours.

I used Wild Wasabi ink on this card to stamp the flower and Craft White to stamp the sentiment. Again, the DSP is so nicely patterned that you can make it do most of the work for you and limit the amount of stamping you have to do.

Need a new catalogue? Give me a call.

Materials used:
Stamp - Friends never Fade (NEW!), Occasional Quotes (NEW!)
Cardstock - Kraft (soon to be known as Crumb Cake), Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
DSP - Greenhouse Gala (NEW!)
Ink - Wild Wasabi (NEW!...sort of), Craft White
Other - Certainly Celery ribbon (promotional product), 5/8" brad (summer mini), dimensionals, 1/16" hand punch, corner rounder, sponge dauber

More reductions on Last Chance List

SU! have announced further savings on some of the itmes that are on the Last Chance List. I you haven't finalised your final purchases form the 2009-10 catalogue, then do so quick. And check out this list to see if you are able to save.

I for one am going to pick up some Stampin' Spots. These are $10 off the usual catty price which is a great saving. If you are like me and have little ones at home that like to get their fingers inky, this is a great buy! Instead of them compromising your big ink pads with their sometimes over exuberance (!), they can go for their life with these little ink spots. Plus, they are just the right size for little hands!!

Send me an email or give me a ring to place your order.

Using up scraps

Not that I have many scraps of the new DSP coming, but this is an excellent illustration of how to create a card using a lot of little bits of DSP you have lying around. Whilst I have taken all of mine from the same range (Greenhouse Gala), you can easily mix and match. I have simply added a couple of extra things to the card - a rhinestone brad and a couple of punched shapes stuck on with foam dimensionals - to give it a little lift. And I have used yet another new stamp. This one is a hostess level 3 stamp set from the upcoming catalogue.

If you want the opportunity to earn new stamps that are only available to hostesses, plus earn free products as well, then give me a call to book your in home workshop. All this new stuff on offer......even if everyone you know has already attended a workshop before, there is so much more stuff to see and play with! Trust me, they will be glad that you invited them along.

Materials used:
Stamp - Occasional Greetings (level 3 hostess) (NEW!)
Cardstock - Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point
DSP - Greenhouse Gala (NEW!)
Ink - Chocolate Chip
Other - Rhinestone brad (fire), small heart punch, Boho Blossom punch, 1" circle punch, corner rounder

Some more samples

Here are some more sneak peeks for you. I have also stepped up the card that I posted the other day as promised.

Close up of the detail on the card

This first card uses yet another new set. I would have also used a new embossing folder for my Big Shot (these are great!), but mine is on back order. Sigh... Every demonstrator must have ordered it!! So I have used the polka dot folder instead. None of us demos have been able to get our hands on the new colours yet - we are restricted to purchasing on or after 1st Sept...just like you...but I would have loved to make this card up in some of the nice new yummy colours. Stay tuned!

Materials used:
Stamp - Perfect Punches
Cardstock - Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Very Vanilla and So Saffron
Ink - Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron
Other - Big Shot and polka dot emboss folder, paper piercer

The second card is the stepped up version I was talking about. With this card, I have made the ribbon a bit more flourished and have added a designer flower brad to it. I also stamped the background of the card, sponged the edges and used my paper piercer (aka a darning needle!) to put a bit of interest around the sentiment. Easy! I have taken a pic of the 2 cards side by side and I think you will see what I meant earlier by the card needing a little something more.

Materials used:
Stamps - Perfect Punches and Artistic Etchings
Cardstock - So Saffron and Whisper White
DSP - Greenhouse Gala
Ink - Real Red and So Saffron
Other - Real Red polka Dot gg ribbon (retired Summer Mini), Flower designer brad, sponge

A gentle reminder

Tuesday August 31st is the LAST DAY that orders from the 2009-10 IB&C can be placed. Whilst I would not advocate that you leave it to the last day to secure your order (just in case what you want sells out in the meantime), if you do order on the 31st, I will be accepting orders until 9pm at the latest. After this time, NO ORDERS will be accepted by me.

On September 1st, the new catalogue goes 'live' and you can place any orders from this catty with me from noon onwards.

If you have not placed your name on my pre-order list to nab yourself a copy of the new IB&C, send me an email ASAP. I will be starting to deliver over the weekend!

2010-11 IB&C book mark!

I have a number of catalogues sitting here ready to go out to new homes! If you contacted me to order your new catty, it will be winging its to you VERY SOON!

As I started packaging them up, I thought it might be nice to stick in a little sample - something that can be used. So I came up with this bookmark. I also created a little card, but I am keeping this under wraps until the recipients have all received them (*wink*).

This bookmark uses a new stamp set, new DSP and I used the Big Shot to create some texture to the black band (you really need to get your hands on one of these....it will transform how you create!)

If you haven't yet ordered your new catalogue, it is not too late to get it by September 1st and join in on all the excitement. Plus, I will send you one of these bookmarks as well! Send me an email TODAY and I'll make sure your name is placed on a copy ready to be enjoyed in its new home.

Materials Used:
Stamp - Friends never Fade (NEW!), Medallion
Cardstock - Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White
DSP - Newsprint (NEW!)
Ink - Real Red
Other - Big Shot and polka dot emboss folder, 3/4" Real Red polka dot gg ribbon (retired - Summer Mini catty), twine

Another sneak peek

As promised, here is another sneak peek...in fact, 2 peeks! (Before I start, I have to apologise for my atrocious photography skills tonight.....both photos are crooked!!! And cropping them has only served to make them look worse!)

I am loving the new DSP for the upcoming year....it is so nice and the patterns do a lot of the work for you. This card is very simple - a single stamped imaged that has been matted twice (on blue and chocolate cardstock) and a ribbon. Easy!

Materials used:
Stamp set - Friends never Fade (NEW!)
Cardstock - Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White
DSP - Greenhouse Gala (NEW!)
Other - 1" Chocolate Chip Ribbon (retiring)

This card is SUPER simple.....in fact it is so simple, that I am going to use it as a step up card. What do I mean? Well, all I mean is that while this card is very nice, I think it can have a bit more to it. This is what we mean by 'stepping up'. So watch this space in the next day or so, to see what I come up with after working on this card a bit more! On the same token, I think that this is a pretty effective card in its own right and is the top preference of a couple of people that I have shown it to. So simple often works. Sometimes you just gotta let the DSP work for you.

Materials used:
Stamp set - Perfect Punches (NEW!)
Cardstock - So Saffron
DSP - Greenhouse Gala (NEW!)
Other - 3/4" Real Red Polka Dot ribbon (retired Summer Mini Catty), used on the reverse side.

2010-11 IB&C SNEAK PEEK!

Guess what I have for you!

Over the next week or so, I will be treating you all to some sneak peeks from the NEW CATALOGUE!!! Yes, that's right....I have my hands on some of the NEW stuff! And it is nice. Very nice.

This card I whipped up for my aunt to whom I am sending some pictures of the kids ....and I was just itching to use some of the new stamps I have. I mounted them all at lunchtime but I had to do some bookwork before I could get ink to rubber........oh, the wait......

Now for my technique group girls, there is also a couple of techniques on this card that you will be doing in your upcoming classes - spritzing and rock 'n roll! Fun, easy and effective all at once!

Keep an eye on this blog over the next week and check out what other new stuff I have for you!

Card materials:
Cardstock - Soft Suede and Very Vanilla
DSP - Newsprint (NEW!)
Stamp set - Artistic Etchings (NEW!)
Ink - So Saffron, Old Olive, Soft Suede and Chocolate Chip (marker)
Other - Soft Suede polka dot grograin ribbon (retiring), spritzing tool

Techniques journal

The call I put out a few weeks back for interested people to take part in a techniques group was successful and I am now running 2 groups (Wednesday morning and Friday night once a month). The Wednesday group have had their first session where they learnt how to do faux dry embossing as well as decorating a techniques journal. The journal will hold all the samples of the various techniques we do, complete with directions to reproduce the technique.

This is an example of the journal that the ladies have (and will) make. We are using DSP from either the Bella Rose collection or the patterned Red Riding Hood pack, along with Red Riding Hood, Very Vanilla and Choc Chip cardstock. The stamps we are using is the Medallion background stamp (in the current mini catty) and the Wild West alphabet (sadly...retiring). To add some finishing touches, a strip of ribbon is used (in my case, choc chip taffeta) and a button from the Button Bouquet pack. I have also used the spiral punch to ensure the DSP wraps perfectly around the spirals of the journal and the eyelet border punch on the Vanilla mat.

Whilst the groups are now full for this time round, if you would like to see a particular technique demonstrated at a workshop, or see how I used the spiral punch to EASILY cover the journal, get in contact with me to book a date. Remember, as a hostess, you will receive a FREE 2010-2011 Ideas Book and Catalogue (this is yet to be released....September 1st....value $12.95), PLUS, you can earn free stamps only available to hostesses, PLUS free products!

What are you waiting for? Give me a call. I already have a few dates booked out in September due to existing customers being super excited about all the new stuff coming out. I would love to show you all the new stuff too!!

How could I not use these stamps?

This is the thankyou that I made up to send to those that sent us gifts etc on the birth of Bella. I used the wheel Bella's Border and the stamp set Bella's Bloom (both on the Last Chance List). I used Mellow Moss and Pale Plum markers (both retiring colours) direct to the stamp to colour the flower before using my trusty paper snips to cut it out. I used the Perfect Plum cartridge (again...retiring) in the wheel as I had to do nearly 30 cards and this proved to be a breeze rather than individually inking up the wheel each time. The cardstock started out being Pink Pirouette but unbelievably, I ran out of stock! Yes, it happens to us demos as well!! So some of them were done using Blush Blossom (sigh...retiring!). I printed the photo directly onto Very Vanilla cardstock after editing it a little to give it a vintagy look to match with the stamps.
