Techniques journal

The call I put out a few weeks back for interested people to take part in a techniques group was successful and I am now running 2 groups (Wednesday morning and Friday night once a month). The Wednesday group have had their first session where they learnt how to do faux dry embossing as well as decorating a techniques journal. The journal will hold all the samples of the various techniques we do, complete with directions to reproduce the technique.

This is an example of the journal that the ladies have (and will) make. We are using DSP from either the Bella Rose collection or the patterned Red Riding Hood pack, along with Red Riding Hood, Very Vanilla and Choc Chip cardstock. The stamps we are using is the Medallion background stamp (in the current mini catty) and the Wild West alphabet (sadly...retiring). To add some finishing touches, a strip of ribbon is used (in my case, choc chip taffeta) and a button from the Button Bouquet pack. I have also used the spiral punch to ensure the DSP wraps perfectly around the spirals of the journal and the eyelet border punch on the Vanilla mat.

Whilst the groups are now full for this time round, if you would like to see a particular technique demonstrated at a workshop, or see how I used the spiral punch to EASILY cover the journal, get in contact with me to book a date. Remember, as a hostess, you will receive a FREE 2010-2011 Ideas Book and Catalogue (this is yet to be released....September 1st....value $12.95), PLUS, you can earn free stamps only available to hostesses, PLUS free products!

What are you waiting for? Give me a call. I already have a few dates booked out in September due to existing customers being super excited about all the new stuff coming out. I would love to show you all the new stuff too!!
