New stuff for the New Year!

As we prepare to embark on another year (the start of my 3rd as a SU! demonstrator :0 ), I want to flag some new things that I will be doing with my business in 2011. Keep a eye on this blog and also on my newsletters for more details;
  • Customer Loyalty Programme
  • Hostess only events
  • More web based offers (such as class by mail)
  • Paypal
  • Scrapbook classes
I will also be continuing the stamp clubs (a new one to begin in March 2011 - needs to be finalised by early Feb 2011), technique groups and my usual classes. My newsletter will also continue to be distributed at the start of each month, and will contain similar information that has been included previously. I am also thinking about sending out a survey to past customers and blog readers to gauge what your needs are from me.

Of course, I will also bring you all the specials that Stampin' Up! have to offer throughout the year, as well as any of my personal offers.

As 2010 draws to a close, I thank each and every one of you for helping to make my business the enjoyable experience it is for me. I hope you also get a heap of enjoyment out of both the craft and also the interaction you have with me and other stampers. I look forward to working with you in 2011 and making Graceful Impressions even more successful.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

To all my blogsite followers, I wish you all a

very Merry Christmas
and a safe, prosperous and creative 2011.

As the Stampin' Up! office is closed for the public holidays, I am also taking the opportunity to spend some quality time with my family. As such, I will not be submitting any orders until January 4th. However, please feel free to submit any orders to me via email and I will make sure that they are dealt with on the 4th Jan.

For any last minute December Frenzy orders, I will be checking my email on December 28th. Please remember that December Frenzy finishes on December 29th. I will make sure that any orders that get to my email address by Dec 28th will make the cut off. Payment will only be credit card or direct deposit.

Best wishes for Christmas,

Sam Simpson

Some special Chrissy cards

My husbands family does a Kriskringal (sp?) for Christmas which means that I only have to buy for 2 (let's face it, whoever Mark draws means I also have to buy for them!!). This year, I drew my MIL and one of my SILs. Both of them are customers of mine (and hopefully not reading this blog before Christmas....if so LOOK AWAY LIBBY AND JUDY!!!!! Oh, and MUM - because I'm going to post your card too!!! I have moved away from the traditional look for Christmas cards, but have added in either sentiments, or touches of colour to tie back to Christmas festivities.

But I thought you might like to see them before we start kicking back and enjoying good food and company.

I decided on a vintage look, simply because my order from the mini catalogue came through the other day, and it contained a number of things on these cards! There is a lot going on in these 3 cards, so let me break it down for you:
Firstly, I have to apologise for the use of stamp here. It is a retired one called "Toile Blossoms". However, if you would like to replicate this look, simply use 'Easter Blossom' (mini) or 'Elements of Style' in the IB&C instead.
Cardstock - Very Vanilla
DSP - Holiday Treasures (retired)....simply use another DSP that takes your fancy
Ink - Crumb Cake, Red Riding Hood, Choc Chip, Soft Suede, Real Red (marker), Old Olive (marker)
Stamp - Very Vintage (wheel), Toile Blossoms (retired), a non SU! sentiment
Other - Chantilly lace, Pearls, white gel pen, Gold Smooch Spritz

Cardstock - Very VanilLa, Blushing Bride
DSP - Newsprint, Holiday Treasures (retired)
Ink - Choc Chip (ink and marker), Red Riding Hood, Certainly Celery (marker), Soft Suede, Real Red (marker)
Stamp - Bella Toile (background), Rough Type
Other - Chantilly lace, Vintage Trinkets, Mini Vintage Tags, White gel pen, gold smooch spritz

Cardstock - Very Vanilla
DSP - Holiday Treasures (retired)
Ink - Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, Red Riding Hood, Choc Chip, Pear Pizzazz, Sahara Sand
Stamp - Itty Bitty Bits, Just Believe, a non SU! sentiment, Very Vintage (wheel)
Other - Big Shot, tags, Bitty Buttons, Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack, Pearls, Chantilly lace, white gel pen, Vintage Trinkets

items UNDERLINED are available in the Summer mini catalogue. Contact me to purchase these items, as they are a limited time offer!

My Chrissy cards

I thought you might be interested in the Christmas cards I am sending out. As I hold Christmas card classes from October onwards, I end up with some product cut up that does not get used. Rather than waste the product, I made them up into cards for myself. The one down the bottom is the card I offered in a kit, and the one on the right is the one I made up as a sample for this blog showing the new lattice embossing folder. The one on the left is one I made for a nieghbourhood house Christmas class.

I hope you all have had fun making your own Chrissy cards this year. I have seen some in real life, and have been lucky to receive some myself!

Materials used:
(Right hand card)
Paper - Old Olive cs, Cherry Cobbler cs, Very Vanilla cs, Jolly Holiday DSP
Ink - Early Espresso
Stamp - Punches Three (retired hostess)
Other - Pearl, Shimmer paint (champagne), scallop square punch
Non SU - Isocol

(Left hand card)
Paper - Cherry Cobbler cs, Very Vanilla cs, Jolly Holiday DSP
Ink - Cherry Cobbler
Stamp - Christ is Born, Soft Holly (wheel)
Other - Old Olive satin ribbon, Rhinestone, corner rounder punch
