March class - Oh, Hello!


The Oh, Hello! card set with a co-ordinating window box makes a wonderful gift set.  The all occasion greetings paired with the geometrical shapes in the Tea for Two DSP allow you to use this gift set for a variety of events and will leave the recipient in awe!

'Vintage Tea' card

Ok another card for you.  This one uses the Tea for Two DSP and a number of other things out of the new Seasonal Catalogue.  For this card, I needed a real vintage feel to it, so I incorporated the 'That's the Ticket' stamp set (and matching punch) with a punched label using the decorative label punch which I had stamped with some vintage-y type images.  These I took from the 'Established Elegance' and 'French Foliage' stamp sets.  I also incorporated some of the lace out of the 'Artisan Embellishment kit' that I had left over from my scrapbooking class the other day.  Not wanting to break into a new kit just to use the buttons, I grabbed 3 flowers from the flower trim and stuck them on.  I finished the look with a large pearl and one of the 'Tea Time Trinkets' .

This card was reasonably simply to construct, although it does have a number of different elements to it, which means it did take a little time to do.  Of course, this sort of card is not just for anyone, and it is nice to create detailed cards to give to those you know will really appreciate them!

'For You' card

Here is a little card for you for Friday.  A quick card that I whipped up using a couple of new products out of the Seasonal Catalogue.  The Tea for Two DSP is simply divine.  I love it so much, I am finding ways to use it.  My upcoming March class will also feature this DSP range - so stay tuned!!
This card uses the Tea for Two DSP coupled with one of the paper doileys which are on pg 5 of the catty.  To make the doily stand out a bit and to also blend it into the DSP (because it is stark white), I did sponge it a little with Soft Suede ink and gave it a little squirt with the gold Smooch Spritz.  I then simply folded it in half and adhered it to the card front.  The two strips of DSP up the top and down the bottom where punched with a border punch before adhering.  I also used the Layered Labels stamp set coupled with the Apothecary Accents framelits (which matches the stamp in this set).  For the middle of the stamp though, I punched the sentiment part using the oval punch so that it stood out.  It helped that I did it in another colour too.

A bit of thin taffeta ribbon, some rhinestones and a squirt of shimmer paint mixed with isocol (on the butterfly) and the card was complete!

Seasonal Catalogue Product Shares

Yes, yes.....I know I'm tardy with this offer, but I've had a huge weekend with holding a couple of classes and entertaining family as well.  Without further ado.....here are the shares for the current seasonal catalogue.

Each share is based on 4 shares (ie, full packs are broken up into 4).  You can buy 1 or however many shares suit you of each.  If you would like to take part in a share of each category, take a look at 'The Lot' at the end of the selection.

Thought about joining Stampin' Up!?


If you have toyed with the idea of joining Stampin' Up!, then Sale-a-Bration is the ideal time to take the plunge.

During SAB, you will receive 25% more in your starter kit than usual.  Why?  Because it is SU!'s 25% anniversary of course.  You can choose $294 worth of products for just $169.  From last year, SU! now allow new demos to custom build their starter kit...so if you are a current customer that has a number of stamps and tools, you can pick and choose what other items will round out your kit.  Easy!

I often get questions about being a demonstrator and I am more than happy to discuss yours with you.  Just give me a call.  But there are a few that pop up all the time, so let me answer some common ones:

Do I have to sell products?
No, you do not have to sell products at all.  You may wish to join up just so that you can get a discount on your own purchases.  This is fine.  You never have to step foot into anyone's home to run a workshop if you don't want to.  However, trust me when I say that the products sell themselves and sooner or later, you will want to share your own love with others.

Do I have to sell or buy a certain amount in a given time?
Yes, there are minimums that you need to make.  The year is broken down into quarters (Jan - Mar; Apr - Jun etc) and during each quarter, you are required to meet a $400 minimum.  This amount is a combined sales of your own personal purchases, any workshop orders you make, and any individual orders for friends or family that you place.

What benefits are there for being a demo?
Well, apart from getting a discount on each and every purchase you make, you also have the ability to earn free products throughout the year, you get first dibs on purchasing products that are not yet released, you get to meet great people who are likeminded in this craft and make potentially lifelong friends and you have best job in the world!  There are also events that you can attend as a demo (such as convention and regional training) and if you want, you can work towards earning a FREE annual trip with expenses all paid for by SU! (next trip is to Utah, USA and to visit SU! head office!!)

What happens if I don't like it or can make minimums?
Nothing.  There are no penalties for ceasing your demonstratorship.  If you don't want to be a demo anymore, you simply stop placing orders and eventually you will "drop" (stop being a demo).  As you have already paid for your starter kit, there is nothing owed to SU!.  If you find yourself in the position of not meeting your minimum quarter sales figures but you still want to be a demo, you get a chance to make up your sales.  We are all human and things happen.  Life gets in the way and we all understand this.  As your upline, I will do whatever I can to help you.

Do I answer to anyone?
No...not really.  Except for having to meet minimums and handle yourself as a representative of SU!, you are your own boss.  As your upline, I will support you and if you are local to me or can travel, I will hold team meetings that you can attend.....trust me when I tell you that these are nothing like meetings you've attended in the past!!!  Think fun, fun, FUN!!!

Vintage Love scrapbooking class


Sneak peek of scrapbooking class
Just to let you know that my very first scrapbooking class  - Vintage Love - which will be held on FEBRUARY 15th (Friday) is now FULLY SUBSCRIBED.

Thankyou to all the ladies that have enrolled and I look forward to seeing you at the class.  Please refer to the class list for what you need to bring (see below).  If you missed out on this class, please keep an eye out for future scrapbooking classes (next one approximately April/May).  In the meantime, if you would like to participate in a card class, I will have one running on FEBRUARY 16th (the day after the scrapbooking one).  Details of this class to be posted in next few days.  Don't delay in booking in.

List for Vintage Love scrapbooking class:

  1. Cost is $30 per head.  If you bring your own SNAIL (or DST), glue dots, sticky strip and dimensionals, cost will be $25 per head.  It is important that these 4 adhesives are bought along as you will need each one.
  2. You will need to bring at least one 10 x 7cm photo for use on the layout.  There is provision to use 2 photos of this size if you wish.   There are some different versions of colour schemes so if you need your picture to match in, please contact me to discuss what you will use.  If in doubt, print your pictures in B&W or sepia.
  3. Bring along paper snips or small sharp scissors as you will be doing some fussy cutting.

It's here, it's here!!!

The new 2013 Seasonal catalogue is live from today and runs through until June 30th.  Oh and if you are any way into vintage looks and old world looks, then this catty is right up your alley!  Check out this card:-

This card uses the new More Amore speciality dsp (p10), the new Two Tone ribbon (p13), the new butterfly punch (p13) and the new Large Rhinestones (p8).  The new butterfly punch sits beautifully inside the existing butterfly punch that features in the Annual Catalogue - as you can see how I have used them together above.

I have already fallen in love with so many things in this catalogue and I'm sure you will be as well.  Yesterday I posted dates that I am unavailable to run workshops.  Well, after you take a look at the new catty, you will want to book a date.  New catty products and SAB freebies all in the sae time frames!  Wow....what will you get?

Don't delay in booking your workshop with me TODAY.  Shoot me an email or give my mobile a ring and let's get you earning FREE STUFF.  Trust me, hosting a workshop is not an arduous experience.  It is fun and light and you will all have a great time.  If you are hesitating because you don't want the pushy sales spiel, then let me alleviate your worry by telling you that I don't operate that way.  If the sales come, they come.  And there is no push for anyone else to host a workshop afterwards either.  But believe me when I tell you that the sales WILL come and people WILL want to jump on the band wagon and get some stampin' goodness for themselves for free, once they see what you can earn!

I have more new things, projects and ideas to share with you....I am nearly bursting with wanting to show them all to you.    I am away over the weekend, so don't expect another post until early next week, but I will have a number of projects to be posted next week, so check back!
