Wood Mount cases

Did I tell you about the new wood mount cases that are coming July 1st?  No?  Well check out this short video on these little babies!

There is just so much that is happening and changing at SU at the moment.  So much so, I have made a new page on my blog.  It is called "What's New?".  I will update it with all the new changes and information that is coming out of SU.

It's hard not to get addicted

I have been going great guns with the MDS.  And I only have the trial pack and a few free downloads. Imagine what I'll be like when I get the full version!  OMG.

Today, one of my uplines held a cybercrop/stamp.  This is where challenges are set and everyone does them within a given timeframe.  So far I have completed the scrapbook challenge and I completed it using MDS.  This is my result....
If you would like to have a crack at MDS, you can do so for FREE (like me!).  Yes, you can download the trial version for 30 days and have a play and see what you think.  I would be pretty sure you will buy the full version before then though.  As I said in the title of my post, it is hard to not become addicted to this because everything is so quick (and less messy!)

Simply go to my online shop and select the trial version of MDS for yourself.

If you are interested in this, but aren't quite sure (even to download the trial), I will be holding an information session in the very near future.  Simply email me with your name and I will add you to the list.

More MDS

Well, I have had a bit more of a play with the MDS and I have to say, that whilst I will always remain a paper, scissors and ink girl, I am really loving the speed in which I can do some of my creations.

Yesterday I managed to do 1 scrapbook page, Henry's 1st birthday invites and a card for my cousin's graduation.  Easy!

Today, I have done another scrapbook page for you.  This time, I created this from scratch using a sketch from Heather Summers (a US demo who is a guru at MDS).  There are many benefits about using digi programs to complete your creations.  Yes, there are also some downsides too.  If you would like to hear about these and ask any questions about MDS, please email me and put your name down for my information session on MDS.

Remember, you can download the FREE 30 day trial version of MDS to have play with.  There are not many things these days that you can try before you buy, no strings attached.  Simply go to my online store and click on the My Digital Studio link on the left hand menu and then select the Free MDS trial

My first play with MDS

Well, I'm back and trying to get right into it all.  First step though, was to download the trial version of MDS and have a play.  Yes, did you know that you can TRY BEFORE YOU BUY?  I'm doing that.  You get 30 days FREE trial to see if you like it and whether it is something that you would like to use more of.  Give me a call or shoot me an email to discuss more about this.

I downloaded and installed the trial version last night and this morning, was itching to have a go, especially after seeing the creations of a number of my SU colleagues work.  So here is is:
All I have done to this is add the photo and the text under the picture.  The rest was a template ready to go.  So this one was a very simple and easy project to complete.  All up, I think it took me less than 5 minutes.

Get ready for some more MDS projects over the upcoming weeks.  Bear with me as I navigate my own way around this new package!

Nearly home

Well our month long trip is nearly at an end.  We only have 3 more days until we will be back home and back into it all again.  That includes me doing what I love...Stampin' Up!  And what a lot I have to catch up on.

With the introduction of MDS (my digital studio), I will be holding an introduction session of this new product to anyone that would like to come along.  This will be held in Colac at a time and venue to be confirmed, but if you would like to register your interest in this session, please send me an email.  The cost will be FREE, so don't hesitate about coming along and learning a little bit more and seeing it live. If you would like more information on this session, please contact me.

The new colour refresh is also going to be upon us and if I have learnt anything about SU products in the past 4 years, it is that once something is earmarked for retirement, that is when EVERYONE wants it!!  So check out this post and see if any of the retiring colours are ones that you want (including reinkers).  If you want any of these, please shoot me an email with your order, or you can go to my online store by clicking HERE and order them yourself (make sure that you are shopping with me on the online store!)
this is what the banner will look like when you are shopping with me.  Click on pic to see a bigger version.
Also a reminder that the watercolour pencils and crayons are also retiring.  These are a fantastic resources to have in your stamping kit - I have used them quite a bit - so grab them while you still can.

OK, I will be back on deck on Monday.  Stamp club ladies are reminded that those that are in the April order month, your orders are due on Monday.  Technique groups will recommence as usual from the first week in May, and normal monthly classes will also recommence on May 18th.  A date will be set for my next scrapbooking class (in June) in the next few weeks.

Watercolour pencils and crayons RETIRING!!

Ok ladies and gents,

if you were wanting to buy watercolour pencils and crayons....NOW IS THE TIME!

I have just received word from SU that due to issues with the suppler of these items, they will be discontinued effective NOW.

Stocks will run out, so if you want any of them, I suggest you shoot me an email and let me know what you would like.

There are plenty of stamping techniques that you can do with these, so I would highly recommend that you get yourself a set.

Join SU and come to 2013 convention

Want a break in Queensland?  Want to join 400+ other SU demonstrators and have a fun filled 3 days?

Well join my team and come along!

That's right, if you are thinking of joining Stampin' Up!, now is a great time because convention is right around the corner and it is a great opportunity to meet other demonstrators, gain some great insights into SU, kick start your business and also have THE BEST time!

Starter kits are now fully customisable, so you can pick and choose what YOU want in there.  If you have been a long standing customer of SU, then you probably have a lot of stuff already.  Don't feel that you have to take a regimented starter kit.  You can bolster your existing stash with all new items!

Email me today to discuss your new career, or let's have a chat about how being a demonstrator can support your hobby!

Yet another change upon us!

In 2010 when SU rehashed their colour families, they flagged their plans to refresh the colours every 3 to 5 years in order to keep up with trends.  Well, it is now 3 years and this is the first of the colour refreshes!

The good news is, for those that have been investing in in-colours over the years, you will already have many of the colours.  There has been some slight changes of colours moving families (eg from subtles to regals for instance), but nothing too dramatic.

Below is a diagram of the colour refresh, but if you would like your very own copy, simply let me know and I can email one to you or send to you in the post.

I for one an VERY happy to see that Blushing Bride is making a comeback.  I stocked up on about 5 realms of paper just prior to it going out and I always hoped that it would make a return.  With the exception of Bashful Blue I am not upset about any of the retiring colours (but then I have no real idea of how Soft Sky might fit the bill), and I look forward to seeing it, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Smoky Slate all fit into our repertoire!

A cute little promo from Stampin' Up!

From now through to the 15th June, you can purchase this limited edition stamp set and DSP.  Buy them as a bundle and get some Calypso Coral bakers twine as well and save 20% off retail value!
closer look at the Sent with Love DSP

This set looks like it only suits a travel theme (which of course where it is pitched) but there is oh so more that it can be used for.  Just think:

  • the 'special delivery' stamp can be used for baby arrival
  • the 'sealed with a kiss' stamp can be used for Valetines day, birthdays, anniversaries....
  • the heart in the postage stamp can be used for anything!
  • the plan can be omitted using driect to rubber technique and you have the heart swirl by iteslf
  • the list is endless....

Shoot me an email TODAY to place your order.  Or you can shop at my online store by simply clicking the link below.
